There are a lot of factors. Some things are worse than the past. However other things are better. There is no universal correct weighting of these different factors. In general I think that nobody would be willing to go far back in time.

If you live there for 30 years - and don't cash-out-refinance - in 30 years your subscription costs go much lower. However if you rent for less than the mortgage you can invest the difference into something that will grow in value more

Risk is why owning needs 10 years. If the economy collapses you value goes down, by 10 years it will likely either have recovered, or at least not be done much. If the economy goes down and you lose your job in the process you have to sell

The more important lesson for those of us are are "old" is to not get stuck in things that were learned in the past when they are found false. If you are not yet old, remember this - it is very likely you will old in a few years.

Anyone with money in a country with poor education will try to send their kids to a country with good education. That has been mostly the US over the past 100 years, but there are several other countries (most of the EU) that also have gre

More importantly, nobody cares about the people where renting is their ideal condition (at least for now - in different situations different ways of living are ideal). There should be nothing wrong with renting. Owning your own should be a

Most of the us has it like that. Some of the early states still do 'nw to the stump', a stump that rotted away before 1800... The newer states learned that lesson and land is to something more likely to last and hard to move. Meta

Does it weaken the US though? It weakens the big providers but most of the economy is in companies buying and this helps them save money.

Not in the next 3 year. However there are more elections coming up. And other things changing. For that matter even if the US does nothing, other countries doing something will forced changes. Petro cars are so cheap in the US (they are

Last time I ran the numbers, in ideal situations a truck/trailer could generate enough power from solar alone to drive on the highway. Ideal means the truck is already at speed, it is towing multiple trailers (length is only legal in

It has happened people I personally know. It wasn't just a truck passing, it was a truck passing with a good cross wind, which is why it isn't common. This wasn't a small tow vehicle, it was a F350 which is a large truck eve

Those are small trailers that you can pull with small cars in the US. The US has many RVs that need much larger trucks to pull them as well. I don't have much autobahn experience, but I don't recall ever seeing a RV type trailer

There is no particular reason to think a process for silicon life couldn't exist that starts from something like our carbon based form started. We don't know what that is, but we have ideas.
