interesting read. i have seen the contrary move being a success too. moving from sophisticated job scheduling systems that are too complex and less reliable to the simplicity and reliability of crontabs or systemd timers.

python is becoming a weird language. we introduced type checking so we don't have to do these mental gymnastics. and yet as the article suggests, there are still reasons to do them.

can't recall the last time i was on a project's page and everything just clicked. no fluff. kudos to the team!

i also had a hard time reading that piece about bad UX on my phone. i don't know about the desktop experience but you made a valid point.

as a subscriber, i am also very disappointed by all the issues i am having recently with youtube. this must be due to all the cracking down they are doing. it is also affecting paying customers!

i never thought fig or warp would ever work. requiring an account and a subscription to use CLI tools sounds ludicrous. but they seem to have found a silver bullet with AWS since having an account is a requirement anyway. good luck to them

these demo charts look very good! and it seems like ImGui makes animation and effects easy to integrate. styling and theming charts are always a pain.

this is bad UI design. not a dark pattern. nowadays, i smile away whenever a lazy loading UI gets in my way. and i end up tapping or clicking on it. i never go back to do what i was doing when i was rudely interrupted. i have seen it everyw
