Proximity unlocking does not rely on LTE, and still works. Remote unlocking using the app would not work, because it relies on LTE. So the car can still be unlocked and used as normal in areas where there is no cellular reception. This is n

I came across your software a few weeks ago when I was looking for some kind of locally hosted collaborative documentation suite for internal use, basically, a wiki that can be used by people who aren’t programmers. I was a bit incredulous

I'm just a home gamer so could be wrong. In large commercial breweries it is killed off, flocculated out with a flocculation agent then filtered out. It is killed at a certain time so the amount of remaining sugar is controlled. Some m

There are plenty of airstrips in the US and Canada that are both uncontrolled and have no radio requirement. And, transponders are only required in control zones.

More than 3A on PD requires tagged cables, I'm not even sure I have any 5A capable cables here. I do have tagged cables as tagging is required for USB3 over USBC which is negotiated with the aid of PD. Magsafe does make it rather somew

I have to imagine there is quite a lot of hoarding going on, but by a different name. Normally I buy components for the next 6 months of expected use. TI sent me an email a couple weeks ago asking me to place orders for the next 18 months o

TI's solution that they offer in the TPD6S300A is to monitor voltage on the CC pins and cut its connection using a fet if an overvoltage condition is detected.

Probably referring to temperature management. The Leaf battery is passively air-cooled. Most other EVs are water-cooled, and some even include a chiller. It becomes a problem for the leaf if you use the fast-charge port too often, for examp

I fail to see how right-to-repair reform would have changed this situation. Tesla's fix was too expensive so the customer went elsewhere... and got it fixed. Problem solved.

He does have a point in that a 12 MP CMOS sensor will have 12 million sensor elements, not 36 million. Colour filters are placed in front of each pixel, so RGB data can be extracted. Usually, 1/4 of the pixels are R, 1/4 are B and

As someone who was a mechanic, and later became an engineer, this is the main reason why I find Rossman's videos insufferable. He is constantly making assumptions about how electronics are designed based on his views as a repair man. A
