Can we learn from other countries that achieve greater outcomes without fancy technologies, before introducing unproven fads like Instagram to the classroom? US education is just depressingly terrible in so many ways. If I had a kid, I fe

Sorry, but I fail to see the difference between your contrived examples. And I'm amused that you think people are being pretentious for bringing up "whataboutism," when the term itself is arguably a colloquialism.

Hypothesis 3 - that alumni or faculty are supportive - applies to any number of schools. Need more to show this is a distinguishing factor. Hypothesis 2 - the school encourages growth and "spiral learning" - is vague. Going to nee

Maybe anonymity would help? The problem there is that people won't have as much incentive to propose improvements, as they won't be recognized if their proposals end up being good. It just has to be ingrained in the company cultur

That's reductionist to the point of absurdity. WeChat does far more than WhatsApp. I'd say it certainly started off aping others, but WeChat has now grown into a substantially more innovative platform.

Like I commented elsewhere - why is this evil? Because Google didn't want to pay its own critics? Open Markets is free, as they themselves admit, to continue their work elsewhere. They are not entitled to Google's support.

Thought provoking comparison. But it illuminates a key difference in assumptions. Climate change is objectively bad, and one of the greatest problems society faces. It is wrong for corporations to silence the truth about climate change. OTO
