I use one at work and never thought much about it. But reading this I have to agree. It simply works. I never had to think about my hardware because it silently and adequately does its job. If I owned any other Apple devices, I imagine the

It may be less interesting to highly intelligent people, but finance employs an enormous number of them regardless. I assure you that plenty of highly intelligent people care just as much as anyone else about being rich. Your implication -

Amen.. I like to use exotic techniques just out of intellectual curiosity and to put my education to use, but ultimately a basic linear regression is all people want! Ease of interpretation is paramount.

I believe dsacco's posted about doing similar work before. Apparently there are teams of people at hedge funds that comb the web to find these kinds of datasets - non-obvious signals for financial metrics. Very eye-opening stuff. I alw

Did you misinterpret? Obviously it's not just you. No consumer would be happier if Comcast didn't try to provide a better product. The point is that judging by their past actions, Comcast won't do that.

Man, this is timely. Work in data science at a startup right now, and table 1 is an incredibly accurate portrayal of my day-to-day. I had just opened a ticket about running analyses on production data before reading this article.
