I'm actually looking forward to WebAssembly but I'm just imagining wasm applications tying into ChromeOS and we have ActiveX all over again.

Okay, so what blend of secure messenger is your friend-group using? I am hoping Signal becomes more mainstream but it isn't nearly the population that uses GPG for email.. (I do agree with you)

I think it's really important to show how things were made with visuals like this. This is very cool, and will likely inspire others into using KiCad and then being able to show their family and less tech-savvy friends how they progre

Just FYI for others: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Structuring I didn't know there was a formal term for this. Splitting up money transfers to avoid detection of large sums moving around.

We've always been able to edit a video frame-by-frame, but it takes quite a bit of time. Now you can deep-fake a video at real-time. Imagine the disinformation that can be produced so quickly in response to the news cycle. We are in

I like that each app has its own filesystem, but i do wish i could 'get at' anything from the Files app. I want to plug in my iPhone and see the filesystem for the Files app. I want to be able to "share" any file from

I'm not saying the problems don't exist, but it feels like they have been amplified in a smear campaign. I think there's been a lot of propaganda to make SF and California look terrible in general, for political reasons. Was

I would like the [new] Dell XPS 2-in-1 with the 3840x2400 screen, as an OLED - using an AMD processor. There's been a lot of complaints about the keyboard but i find it strangely fantastic. Yes it takes getting used to, but I can typ

I think I would be equally upset about this feature in Firefox. I like services like HaveIBeenPwned, but I like manually choosing to use these services. This does not use HaveIBeenPwned, but it's being marketed as helpful when I woul

I'm weird. I like the data staying local, but the UI being something continually updated and improved on. You navigate to a website to enjoy a real-time updated UI, that pulls data from the local network. The local hardware just pri

This sounds exactly like what I was hoping to learn more about. I wanted to create an IRC client where I would add/remove modules at runtime. These modules might respond to things said in-chat. As an example, you might have a greeter

As an aside... I am still a huge fan of Coffeescript as my main driver. I'm learning more about TypeScript and Rust, but Coffeescript remains my language for concision/expression :) All of the above need method chaining, though:

I think the parent comment's logic is sound from a financial point of view, but you do a wonderful job of reframing it to bring it back to an equal rights point of view. Women and older workers have just as much right to the same adve

I do agree with you. There's an advantage to having an interface remain predictable. At the same time I wish you had the ability to dynamically re-arrange the UI with plugins. It'd be very cool to have a Sketch-emulating layout

It's worrying that developing countries can buy off-the-shelf solutions to surveil its citizens without going through the decades of cultural and social change other countries have. We asked questions like "Is this ethical?"
