One of these days I'm going to stumble into something like this in a project. Probably written in Delphi or VB.NET. Not that I use those languages, but it tends to be that the weird stuff tends to appear there. At least for me.

I guess its the same as theater and a motion picture. In theater you are paid for each presentation. In a motion picture you are paid to do it once and then paid royalties (if in contract) for each showing. Meaning that a porn actor is tryi

Brilliant! Let's make sure to include this in the standard tech interview questions set. We only hire the top 1% of the top 1%. Some Assembly required. :D

I was lost trying to find the similarities of Uber and this "new" model of pornography production. IMO, for it to be the Uber of pornography, the people who want to act in the film must be able to book a "film crew" (pro

The YC application is what I use whenever I get one of those brilliant ideas. It helps me figure out if it has raw potential or if Im just full of crap. I've managed to only get one idea through the process. The one that has been pro

I've toyed with Haskell before (enjoy toying with languages in my spare time). Its a nice language, that has a good community. But for some reason I could not see myself using it as one of my main goto (no pun intended) languages. Not

Could this service be used to pickup things from the home depot? Say 20 cement packs, a pallet of cinder blocks and some wood? Or is it for consumers only?

Its happened to my kid, too. What really shocked me is telling her that books were what existed before the internet . Her response? "There was no youtube?"

I've had luck using gears to introduce a reduction in movement by increasing the final drive ratio. The motors will move at faster speeds but the gears slow down the process and allow the movement to be more precise. Dunno how it would

Nice game! Its super fun. Wll be playing it with my kid when she gets home later today. May you share the source code? I haven't dabbed in unity and it would be nice to see how you built it (and maybe hack it a bit).

Python can be a handful due to the weird whitespace rules. Its one of the things I hate about the language, and I use it every day. Dunno if I'd put curly braces in it, but the Hy language (a pseudo lisp in pythonish) really feels good

I do plan to introduce her to GPIO stuff. Maybe mix it in with a video game of sorts. She does have experience with the Arduino, so the concept of sensors is not new to her.
