Oh, pity the (faux?) naive child who has been brought up on a diet of McCarthyism. You’re so scared of reds under the bed that you can’t see what the (increasingly far-)right wing are doing to you.

My bad, I was unclear - I used to admin IRIX years ago, hence using XFS before it got ported to Linux, but then carried on using it once available. I do have an old Challenge S in the basement that I should dig out though …

Nice. Be good if the language had an easy way to handle it, eg.: while(condition)[1000 label]{…}

I’ve used it to write a layer 4 load balancer to replace old hardware appliances. Similar to Facebook’s Katran, but switches traffic at layer 2 (rather than L3) for compatibility and in Go rather than C++,’cos I’m not a great coder ;-)

You need to slightly modify your code. Rather than: while (condition) { … } Do: #define MAX 1000 for n = 0; n < MAX; n++ { if !condition break; … } Unroll all loops, don’t allow any backward jumps and limit to (say) 1m instructions.

Taking an opportunity here for a completely shameless plug for an enterprise-y wg based corporate VPN. Uses mTLS for device auth, wg (obvs), OIDC to authenticate users/set up firewall access (Azure AD and Keycloak tested). Runs as a re

Seconded. I just wrote a script to generate Terraform code to create a VM in the company vSphere clusters, only needing host name and IP address (optional flags for meme/cpu/etc). Description of datacentres, subnets, etc as YAML i

Should be something that could quite easily be added to a uWSGI subscription router - subscribing node periodically says “I have N slots available” and the router keeps track of how many requests are in flight.

Oi! 50 isn’t elderly! I need to book my appointment as they texted me. I can only remember getting flu once, in my 20s, and it felt like I was going to die. 25 years later I’m gonna avoid the flu like the plague!
