Is it common practice to force particular IDE to developers? Especially for web developers. I imagine my productivity would decrease quite dramatically for some time.

the dev tools look promising. But I do not understand what are they are trying to achieve by this. I do not see myself, or many people, switching to IE for development when there are no extensions available. I at least want some REST client

Very good point. If am not mistaken in Denmark you have to have standard white light in front and and red on back. They also must be light enough.

I am not 100% certain but in Slovakia majority of gov. related communication requires Internet Explorer. Not talking about Windows.

I am in similar situation, but I have less powerful computer. So I made minimal debian setup in virtualbox, mounted my work folders as shared. When I need it I start the machine in headless mode. After few seconds I got ssh access. EDIT: I

off topic, but IE 10 is really good browser, I just recently discovered how good Devtools are (I dare everyone to go and check). And compared to Chrome the RAM and CPU are less drained.

I agree, in this case MVP is very good strategy. But I was more interested in technical side. Making it more readable is always a good target to have.
