Instead of writing <ComponentName someVariable={true}> It’s just <ComponentName someVariable> Of course there might be some completely valid reason for this, but it’s baffling to me why you would want this ty

Ive been writing a react application with my wife for the last couple of months (something we started at the YC hackathon in November actually). It’s been a few years since I’ve written any react, so it’s been nice having her there to help

I think that if somebody is going to commit fraud against you by changing the date on a check or document, that this is not going to matter at all.

Honestly the microsoft sculpt is pretty darn close to a perfect keyboard in my opinion. I just (as in a few hours ago) got a keyboard.io, though, and it seems pretty darn cool! Hopefully even better than my sculpt.

Ive done it. It was a startup, but not explicitly a tech company. We legitimately got to work at 7:30 every day and left at 9:00 7 days a week for several weeks. Obviously unsustainable, but easily one of the most enjoyable periods of my

I wish all these rules just said: does not apply when flying below 200’ AGL. Very frustrating to see that this industry is likely going to get stopped before it even gets started.

Imagine trying to explain some fancy load balancing AWS deployment to somebody who has never used a computer beyond a flip phone. It would be completely foreign. That’s me (and also nearly everybody here) with regards to aviation and war m

A lot of the doctors I know seem to agree on something: more than anything you can do, decrease stress to improve your health. Alcohol does that. Sitting and having drinks, even sitting and having a LOT of drinks occasionally, with your cl

Uber is already finding the most financially desperate drivers and filtering for them only. They’re competing for the lowest price, but actually price is only one of the things I would like to be able to select for.

Here’s how I wish Uber pricing worked: When I hail a ride, I say: I’m going from A to B and am willing to pay C (which Uber can recommend to me) for it. Now if nobody responds, I increase C until they do. This way the drivers know where th
