Oh cool, which model? Where should I buy one? Can I buy 10 of them to pass out at burning man as 911 radios?

Do not listen to this person. The baofengs are perfectly fine radios which have gotten thousands of people re interested in ham radio. I have probably a dozen various models of them and use them for all sorts of things and love every part

The inefficiency of in person paper voting is a feature. It means that large scale fraud is extremely difficult due to the labor required. This is a good thing. Hundreds of thousands of dispersed voting locations means that to pull off a

You still have to get the materials for your experiments up there. In the case of nuclear-powered engines, that isn't trivial (unless you mine them off world).

Yeah that makes it hard to motivate yourself to do it. For me it's the stubbornness/trying to diagnose my hardware approach of: well I'm either having a heart attack or this is just anxiety - so I can force the condition by d

If you're having a panic attack, run up a flight of stairs, or hop on a bike and do a sprint around the block. Get your heart pumping. It sounds really counter intuitive but it works.

Awesome news. If you haven't done startup school, I'd highly recommend it. We got paired with lots of people from our local city (which surprised me since I didn't know there was this much activity around here). Seriously

What could cause all major cell phone providers to experience outages that began at the same time in the same day? A solar flare seems unlikely, since WiFi does not seem to be effected (for me at least). Routing issue maybe? One possibility

I didn't say a good journalist, I said a prominent one. My measure of "good" journalists would be people who only commented on the science behind this stuff, and didn't offer their usually useless take.

The level of disinformation I'm seeing around this is like nothing I've ever seen before. The thing is: many of these protests have dozens of people livestreaming the entire thing. You can see what is happening in real time, and

The protests are being live-streamed on Facebook, twitch, YouTube etc. So while they is interesting, it is ultimately useless. The data is already out there.
