I've made this mistake, and all it took was opening a support ticket from the root (payer) account to have them update the email address for the sub-account. Did you ask them to do that?

Isn't this problem already solved in the non-tech world through a last will and testament or a bank lockbox which contains passwords you want people to have in the event of your death? I'm not sure it's a perfect solution but

Why is this not in the mainstream news? Even if it's not the Chinese government directly it's a group with significant power inside China -- so why isn't this being considered a foreign attack on a US company?
