What are you using as your host OS? I've been really wanting to virtualize my Win7 install but I haven't decided on a host OS yet. My ideal would be Qubes OS.

Because transparency is good. Also competition is good, stop being afraid of competition or people "stealing" ideas.

Agreed, Intel is clearly hamstringing their desktop CPUs. Lack of eDRAM on almost all chips to me is inexcusable. They placed eDRAM on some desktop chips, and they performed fantastically. I think they are waiting to introduce that as stand

I actually pre-ordered Grit based on the excerpt I had read with Pete Carroll. It sounds fascinating but I have yet to read it.

That is a tough one! I honestly am not sure, I imagine some sort of framework for corporate responsibility and transparency. Something like GRI [1] is a good start. The way I see it, the transparency itself would probably need to be regulat

I think it's really important to understand in order for a truly free market to succeed, is to have absolute transparency. The libertarian ideal of a free market includes transparency. I believe that the most important thing to regulat

I drive an old automatic Subaru, haven't had any problems on the gravel roads. I just put it shift lock and keep it in second gear and keep those wheels spinning. I mean, most automatics have a sort of semi-auto mode that allow you to

In regards to advertising, I believe they do more harm to societies than good, or will in the future. I'm not 100% set in my ways, but definitely lean the way of ads being harmful. I believe that advertisements have been a requirement

I believe there is quite a market for environmental protection research technology. I worked IT in a forestry and enviro science department at a university, and the amount of technology they required was incredible. Lots of servers, storage

I worked at the Forestry department at a major university for a while (in IT), but I heard that same thing from all of the professors and staff there. It's less a theory and more of a fact. It is more often better to let the forest fir

I think deprecation should only be taken into consideration if one is planning on selling the car in the future, and I get the feeling that he is planning on driving that car into the ground.

That's very interesting. I have done 3 day fasts and never had that problem, I essentially went right back into my normal eating habits. The first meals after the fast were usually much smaller than the usual meals I would eat.

Ah, but don't forget that the rotors on a helicopter can be pitched (like wings). I'm not sure the rotors on this "drone" can do the same thing. A helicopter can land with the engine out by using it's rotors like a

It's unfortunate that most the public isn't aware of how important forest fires are. Humans suppressing forest fires cause more damage in the long run. As far as I understand, fires essentially burn up the dead bits on the ground.
