Yep. If you invest broadly enough, then shrug this off and consider that the market is on sale today. Your existing holdings will return to their yesterday prices at some point, and everything you buy in the meantime will have gone up.

Waiting for an argument about how Rust is better than Go... Neither the language nor ancient game have generics yet.

I don't even bother committing some easy stuff to memory. Living in a polyglot environment, there's just too much going on to worry about the little details that Google and StackExchange can give me in a moment.

Took me a moment to realize I had to use arrows. I tried scrolling, and figured maybe the JS on the page was busted.

Another idea, if you really hate the pressure of interviewing, is to ask for a medium-sized project that you'd hand in the next day. That's more real-world scenario, anyway. Try it - I've done this!

It's more consistent with the printf-style counterparts: func (logger *LoggerImpl) DebugWithTagsf(tags []string, fmt string, args ...interface{}) { logger.logwithformat(DEBUG, tags, fmt, args...) }

I worked with Keith at the time. Wasn't it true that you guys figured out that the yellow paper had a regular blue dot pattern watermark, and that you were able to use them to help solve that one? If I recall correctly, DARPA didn'

When you're a billionaire, you can buy a $70M house and do all the things you're thinking of. There's no downside to buying this if you have that much money - more than you could reasonably spend in several lifetimes.

I believe most pages are served almost entirely from cache. In those paths, the code should be doing nothing more than authenticating and talking with Redis. Language/stack performance becomes way more important for situations that rel

Not sure about how movies are filmed, but you don't have to shoot video frames at 1/FPS. That's just the slowest you can shoot. If you're shooting in broad daylight, each frame could be as quick as 1/8000, for examp

I haven't spent much time looking into this, and haven't used it yet, but from the Stringer example, they're providing us with a tool to generate strings for enum values. That same approach could be used to generate support f

I imagine most of the complaining is by people that haven't even spent much time in the language, let alone this new tool. I'm would wager that generics were a driving force behind this. They don't want to add them to the lan

When working with a poorly-written or unstable legacy app, there is a middle ground approach. Rather than rewrite the whole thing (often impossible), or introduce a new framework in the app, you can draw a circle around a core subsystem a
