Since this works on iOS 5 and older hardware it's reasonable to believe the flaw has been around for some time.

"NoSQL is simply a buzzword. It basically means 'anything but the old and trusty MySQL server in the attic', which includes a lot of alternative storage mechanisms. Even a simple text file can be considered a NoSQL solution" http://stackov

Respectfully, I believe your comment is not very open minded. I believe the obvious answer is "Of course there's a use case!", just like there's obviously a use case for RDBMS, NoSQL (Mongo, Cassandra, BigTable, Redis, etc) serves a purpose

So do you believe there is a use case for a document-oriented database? I feel like your comment writes off a huge swath of useful technology. I said this below, but I'll say it again. Data is malleable, and writing apps to fit around any d

Very briefly put, I use MongoDB to start off most new projects. My primary objective is that my application fulfills it's use case. Data is malleable, so you should use the right tools for your needs. That being said, it sounds like the OP

Thanks for the explanation. I'm still skeptical that sql could be injected though. I'm not seeing how DTMF or speech would translate to the punctuation usually required for that type of attack. P.S. Coding with telephony APIs sounds horribl

FYI: The "Apply" button isn't initially obvious. It's the blue button on the top right inside the gray banner with 13px font that says "Now accepting applications for Batch 5".

When I was looking for my last job I rejected a company based on the simplicity of it's code task. A company's code task should interest and challenge. View helpers satisfy neither requirement (for me).

Yes. Always use the right tool for the job. Its okay to have some duplication (an object stored in postgres and also part of a mongo doc or cached in redis). Don't forget storage is cheap.

I'll check it out. I remember seeing a number of patents involved in the case, just haven't read them. My comment was certainly a generalization.

Okay this guy wrote paragraph(s) retorting each individual line in a memo. The author is reading way too much into this. They wrote their opinion, this clearly wasn't a fact finding mission. I'd probably give this a "C-" for poor format, un

I'm pretty sure this was a patent infringement lawsuit, so the statement that the "iPhone was a revolution" is irrelevant. Apple won a claim against Samsung for mimicking "bounce back" behavior among other patents. Hopefully pull-to-refresh

That's a great idea, and I think they already have a platform to do that with, the Apple Store and their Genius Bar. Most major cities have two Apple stores these days, and for people that aren't near one, an option to fax or mail could exi
