I would imagine one reason for this is because the real complexity of a project has nothing todo with the programming. It has to do with evolving the business. Were on our 3rd re-write of our business, but the codebase still has legacy syst

I would encourage you take a look at the rational behind Clojure spec and Schema. Both allow you to specify the expected types of the arguments.

People usually say "closer to the metal" to mean more control over the hardware. Its hard to see what mainstream language clojure has more control over the metal then given that it targets the two of the largest languages it self.

So would rich be rich without the language that rich built? This is a hilarious way of looking at it. There answer is yes.

I think you mean, think about a problem abstractly. However, a good abstraction is context specific, which is why it's often hard to deliver one in a interview, because the interviewer is both biased and a working against you.

What do you mean by "batch processing" Personally i find that term to be confusing. I believe if Kafka can do streaming then it effectively can do batch as batch is a subset of streaming.

Thats true, if you wanted a large codebase you should stick with Java. Only half joking. I like to think the goal is to create a working system. I haven't seen sufficient evidence that Static Typed languages as a category are more li
