Google, in all its products, is adopting aggressive architectural decisions that break interoperability, sacrifice user freedom and strongly favor their proprietary business models. They are not interested in building an open Internet. They

In reality, the vast majority of services ignore that principle and MFA is a never-ending daily nightmare. It feels like I can't even take a leak without the phone now.

Really miss Windows 3.1, 95 and 98 era. Interfaces have only gone worse since then. Every time I crank up my 386 or Pentium I am completely blown away by how clean and stress-free the GUI was. Really tired of this Apple/Google low-cont

Just recently my wife came back home telling me about some tablet computer she has never ever seen before. I think she has googled for it on her phone. What do you know - my Facebook showed a few ads of that device - on that day. I'v

I've read this article but still can't understand how those clothes end up in Ghana. Is EU just dropping them there from airplanes in the sky?

I disagree. FreeBSD desktop user here since 2018, mostly Thinkpads (T400, T410, X1 1st gen, now P14s). TBH, you have to be extremely careful with new hardware. My P14s barely runs 13.2. Wi-Fi is causing constant kernel panics and Alder Lake

To me it appears Apple has lost all the focus after Steve Jobs, there is no "do more with less" spirit in Apple products anymore. They still got some Mac OS X inertia, but it's mostly about changing colors, animations, rearra
