Thats kind of missing the point. There's nothing magical about "level 5". This is stupid academic nonsense, not an objective test or anything that can be measured: > The vehicle can drive anywhere in road traffic and under

My favorite LeCun was when he was talking about LLMs understanding the real world. In the clip he essentially said "If I have a water bottle on this book and I push the book, the water bottle will move as well. A 3 year old can tell yo

I think the rules are there are hard limits unless a multi-trillion dollar company IPOs with a significant absolute float, in which case tracking the "market" obviously includes said company.

I see crazy stuff relating to conspiracy theories about Kirk every day. It's not censored. If you don't see the contradiction around censorship while seeing a ton of controversial opinions, I don't know how to convince you. I

It's censored and there is a ton of controversial opinions being spread? Do you see how these two statements are in conflict? What is being censored? You don't like some speech but that's proof that restrictions on speech hav

How has it gotten worse? You have a lot more freedom on all social media platforms than you did 4 years ago. What's gotten worse in some countries is the government censorship which I'm against.

Here's an example of Westmidlands police bragging about arresting a 12 year old for racist posts. There are 30 arrests a day for offensive online messages. It's not heavily reported for some reason but it's very real. https:

Sure there was basically a cartel in social media. You saw coordinated censorship campaigns to ban the former president of the United States for example. But I wouldn't discount the amount of political interference there as well. The l

Just saying "regulate" it is not an answer and won't give you the results you think. What you'll get is restrictions on speech. UK arrests thousands every year for what essentially amounts to mean tweets. There have been

I'll take shifting crime as long as it's away from me. Camera's 100% prevent crime because you catch the bad guy, and in a sane society lock the person up so he can no longer commit crime. See how that works?

Thats not necessary. They have the loving embrace of Nest cameras connected directly to Google. Gladly share footage when there's a string of property crimes. Whats your point?

Police body cameras have completely dispelled this notion and are a god-send to the vast majority of police officers that want to do good work. So much so the left has turned against them https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jP4_

Cool, I choose to live in a highly policed neighborhood with well funded police. Essentially a gated community. You can enjoy your "freedom", but based on the real estate prices, I think more people have my preference.

You have someone in charge. You know who to question. You can even spam him on social media and a decent chance he'll reply. Try to get something out of the CEO of Bank of America or some other faceless corporation

I don't know, I'd prefer cops have access to technology that helps them apprehend criminals and enforce the law. Better audits and accountability are the solution, not removing technology.

I think Flock is probably the worst solution besides all the rest. They seem to be the most auditable and accountable. The fact that anyone even knows the service and founder is a testament to accountability.
