The roof tiles they use are supposedly 'indestructible' and have a longer life than asphalt shingles. That being said, I'm skeptical of their claim. Not many things are indestructible when a large hailstorm rolls through.

If your car is plugged in it can use wall power to pre-heat before your commute, similar to remote start.

Expressing a beer rating as an average has always seemed problematic to me because different folks' tastes in beer vary so much. I'd rather have an app that looked at what I've highly rated and either paired me with users who

Gas stations don't make much money on actually selling gas - consumers are irrationally price sensitive when it comes to the price of gasoline, so the stations are generally selling it at or near cost. As long as people still pop into

Many Californians live in parts of the state where there is not much need for heating and cooling much of the year, which also helps keep consumption down.

It's a better plan than almost every other NFL player has. Most players have lived very football-focused lives from a very young age, and have been the star on the team all of their life. Their future has always been more football, and

The other day I was walking through a parking garage as two Volts were heading towards the exit. It was incredibly eerie how quiet it was, just the sounds of the tires against the pavement, no ICEs running.

Seems like plug-in hybrids like the Chevrolet Volt could be really popular in the US. Enough electric power to cover 90+% of daily scenarios, but an ICE that can be 'recharged' at a fuel pump in 60 seconds for long road trips. You

Cars are lasting longer on average than they used to, so stretching a loan from 48-60 months to 72-84 months seems completely reasonable to me. (This assumes a good interest rate. The 10-20%+ APR loans are a disaster at any length).
