Pencil and paper also has a hand-drawn, sketchy look, and you don’t have to write code!

Why does SN request my first name, last name, email address and username, and optional photo, and then have a 6+-step tutorial that you can’t escape early? Seems a bit much just for some notecards.

Why do they use a loop - does the 6502 not have a multiply instruction?

Very interesting! How does AirLab coverage compare to FlightStats? Does it know about delays and gate changes even for international flights?

I think it’s just a retroflex R, but when it’s preceded by tongue-forward th in “either,” it comes out almost like a flap. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HcrVeMYnOS4 https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Voice

Yes, the post I linked describes how to do that. It took time to learn. Nowadays I’d just do it with GPT!

This is why people should just run a small managed k8s cluster on GCP. This has worked super well for us. https://www.vmii.org/blog/2023/03/12/kubernetes/

50 USD/mo was for 1 production Heroku app dyno (no db!), with no Redis or Sidekiq. On GKE we added Redis and Sidekiq, all duplicated for staging (on Spot VMs), for 58 USD/mo. (One single-zone cluster is free on GCP.)

I recently migrated a small Rails project (16,000 monthly users) from Heroku to Helm/Kubernetes, after having tried Fly.io and everything else. It was easy, and I like the peace of mind of zero-downtime deploys and non-beta infrastruct

Ohhh, I missed that "->" was the operator. I was typing "to" as in Google searches. Re dateless times, yes, I think the Soulver way is unambiguous but still human-friendly.

Very cool! Some ideas: 1. Doesn't seem to support area conversions (tried 400 square meters, 400 m^2, and abbreviations in between). 2. If I only give a time, it would be more useful if it gave a time-only result rather than defaulting
