So much yes. This is why I installed bartender yesterday and now my menu bar only has: CPU meter, battery, time. At the very end is a "..." that I can click to expand out to everything else, should I need it. So nice. EDIT: link f

Yeah... and doing it on the whole body would be fatiguing on long pages because you have to scroll up and down the whole page after each column. I'd probably want to do column-split content areas over a certain width (e.g. an <artic

I'm not disagreeing with you but I thought I'd try this as a user stylesheet for this page just now and it looks pretty great on my screen: body { -webkit-column-count: 3; } // or -moz- or no prefix or whatever

This made me laugh. But... just in case you were being serious, I wasn't commenting on the fonts but the project in general.

That's really nice. Reminds me of the same kinds of things that LightTable has been trying to accomplish.

I just found http://nanomsg.org/documentation-zeromq.html . If you haven't seen it, perhaps it can offer some comparisons for you.

I'm on the Heroku Add-ons team. This is correct. The RDS "add-on" is there simply for people who search for it. In reality, it's just setting DATABASE_URL, and you can do the same yourself.

Well said. It's frustrating how much people want to do price comparisons on the commodity instead of the service. You're paying for the "as a service" part of PaaS, IaaS, SaaS, *aaS.

Yeah that's frustrating. I worked around it by using Chrome profiles. I have a personal profile and a work profile and they are each logged into the respective accounts. In truth, I actually really like it and would continue to do so e

It does not at all assume or require that your dataset will fit in RAM. To an extent, it will cache some indexes in RAM of query peers, but there is no expectation that the whole dataset is in RAM.

Though in Go, you can always use reflection to get back the concrete type in an `interface{}` type. In C, `void *` is pretty much all you get. This causes far more subtle bugs, IMO. Source: someone who hasn't done much C and only a lit
