This is the only unikernel I know of that supports "raw" applications - OSv applications run in a JVM and MirageOS applications are in OCaml. Edit: looks like there's a direct alternative called Rumprun: https://gi

Nice! Couple of things: - Firefox on Ubuntu yields "TypeError: t.srcElement is undefined" when I try to change the colour. - I don't have any fonts for some of the icons in the buttons (e.g. the arrow). Seeing as you're

Quick question: why do you think AMD decided canonical addresses had to be sign-extended rather than just lead with zeroes? Wouldn't an access to 0xffff800000000000 also break if the address space was extended?

I do indeed. We have a problem in this country; there is a shortage of homes, so being a landlord is extremely profitable, so house prices are astronomical and its very difficult to get on the ladder.. leading to all the homes being concent

Here in the U.K. our right-wing government are planning re-introduce a scheme whereby those in government-owned social housing have the right to buy the property cheaply after a set period. This has always been a very controversial idea: it

Good point, but remember Apple license the ARM architecture from ARM (the company), and they probably aren't allowed to deliberately ship partially-compliant ARM hardware.

The writer is probably one of the games many purists! I love Twenty20 but I have to agree with whoever said "it's not cricket, it's a form of entertainment performed using cricket equipment".

I think it's important that we recognise the distinction between targeted surveillance and mass surveillance. Within a legal framework that recognises the right to privacy as the default, surveillance is a necessary law enforcement too

I believe the Xilinx tools are actually free of cost. Still, though, open source FPGA tools are desperately needed. edit: even if they just opened up the bitfile format. I believe it's a similar situation as GPU instructions sets thoug
