I am quite surprised Sheryl Sandberg all but disappeared in the past few months from these discussions.

By now it's pretty clear, to me at least, that Zuckerberg simply doesn't get it. He could have fixed the issues for over a decade. And even in 2019, after all the evidence of mismanagement and public distrust, he still refuses to

What I find most interesting about the influx of Chinese money is that many Chinese communities across North America were built by people who fled China and its communist regime. One can argue that the beginning of the current Vancouver hou

I just don’t see how Uber and Lyft survive past autonomous vehicles going mainstream over the next two decades.

I understand what you mean but you still have to raise your child irl. What is very interesting is that most adults with children in this decade have experienced both worlds and perhaps become too immersed in this new “virtual” environment.

The sense of community is gone. And it really takes a village to raise a child but that’s disappeared in the US outside of small rural communities.

I highly recommend Celeste Headlee’s We Need To Talk. A good audiobook as well.

What’s missing in this discussion is how much marketing and ad dollars figure into pricing of goods especially among goods that are hard to differentiate. Instead of thinking how much cheaper Kirkland (and other private labels) is compared

They need to overhaul the industry and it must start with how the FDA approves new and old drugs. For example, drugs should have hard expiry regardless of patent claims. No more generic exclusivities. More importantly, scrap biosimilars and

Exactly this. However, it is still possible to create a virtual decentralized network on top of a federated/centralized network.

As a parent of two kids I have strong feelings and opinions regarding this matter. To be fair, there are a few responsible content creators. Jangbricks is one good example and he’s well aware that his audience is largely made up of kids. Bu

Agreed. Enthusiast gamers fret/obsess over a small difference in FPS, refresh rate and lag especially when it comes to competitive gaming. Until Google can deliver a service that is indistinguishable, it’s DOA in my view.

All valid points. I understand because I lived in NYC for most of my life but it’s become really congested in the past decade. Sure, there are still conveniences of living in Manhattan but some of that can now be experienced in smaller citi

I’d argue that cities will shrink over time. It’s going to become easier for people to live in rural areas. I don’t think there is some magic formula to manage the inevitable congestion (not just traffic). Edit: It’d also be interesting to
