I would tend to agree, but then we have things like DST shifting around all the time. The government just states they are making a change, and everyone does. Every software that isn't based on a network time server breaks, and is fixed, an

I would love to see an A/B comparison of this. For me, if I see those badges, I assume the site doesn't know what they are doing, as they should know, any GoDaddy automated scanner is not worth the wasted disk space from the hits in your ht

I really don't understand why anyone stores CC's. You don't need the number ever again after the initial transaction. Even for reoccurring transactions. Authorize.net needs only the transaction id for a refund, which can't be more than th

I read that heat has yet to be proven to detriment a drive's life or performance within reason. Sure, 5000 degrees would be bad, but there apparently is no evidence that cooling drives matters. I can't source the article, but seem to recal

AA and NA do not work. Failure rates are 95%, same as spontaneous remission. But there is an added increase in suicide of upwards of 28%. As cliché as it seems, AA and NA are cults of indoctrination and trample our Bill of Rights as they

Hacking and code need a non sedating opiate/opioid. Hydrocodone to start, maybe hydromorphone, then into oxycodone and oxymorphone. Stay away fro the morphines, diacetylmorphine, as they are too sedating. The others give you focus and d

How do we know there isn't a tiny mic in the device and NEST isn't the Newly Elected Security Taskforce. In all seriousness, as wifi enabled devices become common, getting an unauthorized peek into someones home is going to be trivial, if

I thought you mentioned you were using the HN API? Even without it, can't you use something like `curl` to make the post and perhaps some gross regex to strip away the bits you want and load it into your own domain space?
