Just like the author of this blog post I was inspired by the MVC mini profiler and started a Ruby gem that has some very very basic functionality at the moment, you can find it here: http://github.com/bittersweet/stopwatch It just shows t

As a Vim user I've been happy for quite some time now with Vimium. Being able to navigate with speed and select links and elements like forms had made browsing with the keyboard quite enjoyable for me. Together with ShiftIt for window resiz

I've been hacking away on Obj-C and more specifically MacRuby and did some basic stuff with GCD already, using the async queueing system. The distributed enumeration sounds interesting, could you point me in the direction of where I can fin

I'm trying this out at the moment (14 pt S DZ) but the current line marking in VIM for example looks weird because there is more whitespace on the bottom of the characters than at the top. Other than that it is a welcome improvement to Menl

I've experienced this a lot while going to Dubstep parties, there are a lot of DJs that indeed have those special ocassion records laying around. First party I went to a DJ called Skream played a track, later I found out it's one that he wo

This one is not OSX specific though. I've tried it and can not get used to it even though I'm a VIM user at heart. I think not seeing the mode I'm in was tripping me up.

Very nice, this is an awesome way to get introduced to a (for me) new technology, I didn't have any experience with geospatial work before so this is a great way to visualize it. Now I'm thinking of ways to use this!

This seems interesting and a lot less 'illegal'. There has been 1 arrest so far that I know of, a 16 year old kid from the Netherlands has been arrested for being a part of the MasterCard DDoS. [0] [0] http://tweakers.net/nieuws/71259/poli

I have pretty bad eye-sight and experienced something like this when I was younger, although I don't know if it's the same principle. I had on swimming goggles and the moment I went underwater I had perfect vision in both eyes.

That's more or less the same as what's happening at my local Ruby User Group in Amsterdam, last time it was all about JavaScript, Node and Coffeescript in particular. Indeed I think it's great to see that people don't stay with one language

I actually tried to submit this as well before seeing it was already submitted. My reason to submit it was that I thought it would be a interesting entry to a discussion about the current state of Ruby and to be specific 1.9.2/Rails3.
