This is misleading. Windows 8 has just passed 10.7.4. There are 3 more recent Mac Versions that have a higher install base than Windows 8. Hell even Windows XP has more Users than Windows 8.

I hope they remove that Meredith Character completely from Meetup.com and change the policies to prevent hostile group takeovers in the future.

Have you been contacted by meetup.com till now? Why don't they react on this shit?

That Women deactivated the feature to see who is a member of that group. We can't contact all of them, only the people we know. Manually.

The link was to a public post on that group that described the situation. That post was removed as was the complete discussion and mailing list

Vidar hat problems with the payment of the group and was in discussion with meetup to fix this. While a group is in an "unpaid" state everyone can step in and pay the fee to get full admin rights to the group. After getting full admin right

Okay, the link is now dead. A women called Meredith did a hostile takeover of the hacker news cologne meetup group and renamed it. She removed Vidar, the main organizer from the Admin list and now has full controll of the meetup group. This

If I overestimate it, why do all python devs I talk to still use 2.x and say that they can't use 3.x because all kind of problems?

Django is not ready for python 3.x right now. The support for 3.x is in "beta" right now. I hope when the final 3.x support is released, a lot of more traction is going on towards 3.x . The current state is pretty bad :(.

From : https://www.djangoproject.com/weblog/2012/aug/19/experimenta... > Does this mean that Django is ready to use with Python 3? Not yet! Yes, there are devs/companies embracing python 3, but not enough :( . As I said in my article

But there is a maven dependency available. I haven't used this, but what exactly is the problem when you can even use maven to load the file? And do you know more libs are important? Please post them all to give me a possiblitiy to analyze

I am currently prototyping a jar dependency solution that could help my workflow and looks similar to cocoapods, but on top of Maven and Android repository xmls. See here: https://gist.github.com/3603015 If you think that can be improved,

Btw: Thanks for those links. I now have a working ant setup. I will now have to tweak a few things in my vim to autocompile the R file and stuff :) .

Is there an index somewhere that has a list of all libs that have a proper repository.xml? It would be great to have something like rubygems or cocoapods where you can search for all options you have for that problem you are facing.

Can you blog or link to an example on your ant setup? I am really interested in that one. And how do you manage dependencies to third party jars with the sdk manager?

Nope, I don't dislike Java. I was the project lead of a "TV-Browser", an Java Swing GUI that is used by over 100.000 Users. You can't do that if you hate Java ;). A broken GUI editor can't be a personal preference ;).
