If credit card fees are $2,000 for every $100,000 of revenue (assuming 2% and all revenue through CCs), how is that different than 450$ for every $100,000 of revenue. This was not a 1 time dinner, it was "up to 0.45% of revenue will be

Sometimes the reason doesn't need to be "good" in the sense that it's a great reason, but in the sense that it was the right decision. I worked as a engineer at a huge billion dollar company in a newly created slot. Ther

Some places get "rated" by the length of the calls, not number of happy customers, or resolution to call ratio... just length of calls. Keeping it short, even if it pisses off the customer is better for keeping their job.

Id agree with that. Sometimes people use it in ways even they don't agree with, but would agree that it's more accurate than just straight "closed source". Is source available "more open" than something complet

Creating a phrase does not mean you get to define how the community uses it. The guy who invented gif doesn't really seem to get much say in it's pronunciation. In America, almost all people call tissues "Kleenex" regard

This would make sense if they didn't have a non Flash option (like Twitch.tv for instance, although they just announced an HTML5 beta). But if they have a way to serve the video without flash, it just blows my mind.

Apparently the broadband out there is great. The issue isn't lack of satellites or speed. The issue is that when you have a Merlin 1D (or 3) firing directly at a mobile platform, it's going to shake violently. And when you have se

The point isn't to serve the volume that SalesForce has, the point is to serve yourself. If you have experience enough to prevent downtime or to handle it when it happens, then perhaps that is better than risking that to someone else.

If it had 8300 horizontal, and 4200 vertical, the total speed would be the hyponetuse of a triangle made by those, not the sum. sqrt(4200^2 + 8300^2) gives me 9,302 kph, which is a bit more than a third of 26000 (.3578). That squared gives
