This seems like a really bad idea when we are facing mass energy shortages that threaten to let Russia tear our allies out of our sphere of influence. Yes, we need to get off of oil and gas Yes, we don't need subsidies. But wait for th

What people are doing right now is taking these wonky outputs and putting them back into the system after making some crude edits to it. As you repeat that cycle things are going to get better, but it does require human labor at that point.

No, but I feel like the ideology of the person posting this misses the fact that they are on the side of what empowers people like Putin. Kiwi farms is clearly an issue that needs to be handled, but in my mind to handle it requires you be h

I would imagine that the root of all evil is anytime you do something without having a clear goal in doing it. Premature optimization is when you optimize without a slowdown anyone has noticed. Going overboard with architecture is designing

I touched on this somewhere else in the thread, but it is not uncommon for companies to end up in a position where they have so much control over society that they need to be limited in their power, else they just hold too much power and th

Guns don't work at scale for these things. You can't have a functioning society when the only thing keeping people in line is the threat of force.
