I'm glad I made the switch - pinboard seems much more responsive, even during that massive spike. The only thing that took a while was importing my bookmarks. That's more than understandable - how many bookmarks were imported over those few

I've seen a few comparisons between tmux and screen around here and they've all been useless. Can someone around here who is familiar with both PLEASE do a write up?

They went ahead and broke the law and then were called heretics or worse. Kepler's mother was imprisoned, threatened with torture and called a witch . I'm sure you could find many more examples, it's basically the whole history of science.

Vim needs to be compiled with Ruby support for this to work. If you're on a Mac, the default installation of vim is -ruby, but it's possible to run MacVim (which does have Ruby support) in terminal if you want to. Nice writeup though.

I can't be the only one that hates the word "automagically." I don't see anything magic - he's explaining it right there and "therefore" or something similar would have worked fine.

Strict timing is the #1 problem you need to solve if you want people to take your tool seriously. Check out ChucK and Impromptu if you haven't seen them. Both are 'strongly-timed'.

It's a letterpress effect, you basically use a combination of an inner shadow and drop shadow in photoshop. There are ways of doing it with CSS as well. It's been majorly abused already, although it's subtle enough in these designs.

I use an F3 as my primary phone. I bought it in late 2006 just to avoid making an investment because there were a lot of rumors at the time about a new phone made by Apple. One of the biggest advantages for me was dropping out of the featur

Tried it and I much prefer Visor. But I tend to want to go into Terminal and stay there rather than just running single commands.

It's strange that the title is 'Windows Internet Explorer' - isn't that exactly what their antitrust suit was about? I thought IE was supposed to be decoupled from the operating system (not that they ever really did it).

Visor http://visor.binaryage.com/ hasn't been mentioned but it's how you should be opening and running your terminal. Turn on and spend a few minutes learning the keyboard shortcuts in GMail if you use it (conveniently, they map nicely to
