You can probavly get better, more accountable moderators, if it meant losing your job for violating the rules. Money could also be invested in developers to maintain Mastadon and issue security fixes.

This is the problem with a stressful role, with little compensation. Most people wouldn't want to be in this position. It sounds like anyone that runs a moderately sized open source project. More money would solve most of these issues.

I think social media is making people unhappy by doom scrolling all day long and thinking it's real life. I have relatives that are convinced their son can't get a job, because "AI replaced all of them".

Welcome to bug bounty. I've been heavily involved in the community for the last 7 years or so, and got tired of doing free work for companies that will go to great lengths to not pay you. It's much better to be a consultant, and c

Lol. I predicted this would happen in the early 2000s, and I finally got to see it happen. Companies didn't want to deal with piracy anymore and made everything a service. The same thing has now happened with software. The only think p

Do you really think after years of crushing defeats in battle and sanctions, that they have the money or soldiers to fight the EU? If they did, they would have taken over Ukraine by now. Now if China gets involved? It's a different sto

I would have liked the 'suspicious pressure' when Parler was shutdown by colluding tech companies and the US government.

With the AI we currently have, I'm not sure how you can have any kind of meaningful relationship. My guess is mental illness.

"Being attentive to your practice (i.e. recording, going over your work, etc.)" If you practice the same thing over and over, you won't get better. If you fail, figure out what you did wrong, and improve, that's competit

If you want to stay the same and not become better at something, you are correct. Competition is many times about challening yourself, failing, learning from that failure, and eventually succeeding.

Still not as bad as the previous administration colluding with Facebook, Twitter, and Youtube to censor American citizens and in many cases, get them fired from their jobs.

Sure. Black markets are cheaper than legal weed, because they don't have to pay taxes due to heavy regulations. There have been multiple studies in Colorado and California that have shown that black markets aren't shrinking, but

I think the idea of this is unhealthy at best. It will create fake memories of your loved ones and most likely create people that are completely dependent on these fake AI relationships.
