I'll probably dig into it a little more later, but initially, on one of the book's detail pages, the text (and everything else) is pushed all the way to the sides of the browser window (in Chrome on OS X), so your "Feedback" side button obs

For one thing, the author of the ebook is a frequent poster here, which should give it a little more weight than a viagra email. Plus, there have been plenty of links about the transition to Rails 3, and this looks like it could be a handy

I don't think it's the owner that was saying "wait until February," but rather just one of the other employees - one that wrote many of the original tutorials and was hired on because of that.

I remember Slackware Linux back in the mid-late 90s that involved creating loads and loads of 3 1/2 floppies for installation. It was not an easy process back then, at all. But, it was young then, and I learned a whole lot more having to bu

I hear lots of good things about Expression Engine ( http://www.expressionengine.com/ ) but I've never used it. It always seems to come up as the platform that fills the void between Wordpress and Drupal. But even Wordpress could most likel

Perhaps telling us what you don't like about Media Temple will help you out a little. If it's a relatively low traffic weblog, there are cheap hosts like dreamhost.com. If you don't require a lot of customization (themes, plugins, etc) you

I've used zoneedit.com in the past and was pleased with the service. It's free for up to two or three domains, or it used to be, and the web interface was simple but did everything you needed it to.

Not a whole lot of surprises there, but I am curious why Jason Fried of 37signals is featured, and not David Heinemeier Hansson. They mention Ruby on Rails, but it was DHH that had a larger hand in it (only hand?) than Jason Fried. Also, th

Rails is such a fast moving target that keeping totally updated books on the shelves is probably just as frustrating for the book publishers as for those wanting up-to-date books. That said, the Pragmatic Programmer's book Agile Development
