That's the wrong approach. I use chat for things I don't know how to do all the time. I might not know how to do it, but I sure know how to test that what I'm being told is correct. And as long as it's not, I iterate wit

They're great examples that just because you're good in one field doesn't mean you're good in other fields. Or even open minded.

It was not deliberate, it was ignorance. Time and again, the Go team made comments in various forums for years showing they really knew nothing about programming language development past 2000. All they knew was C and that they wanted to cr

Even with CFOP, there is a large amount of intuition needed in order to break below the 25 second limit, mostly because of lookahead. During that phase, you need to train your fingers to do moves while your brain anticipates the next moves.

These are both terrible on macOS and Windows (they look ugly and are hard to build), and very poorly integrated in other languages than C/C++. Way worse choices in my opinion.

Interesting article if it wasn't for the mindless and completely out of place Google bashing at the end. Apple fanboys just can't restrain themselves, can they?

You can absolutely modify the body of not only an existing method but the very method you are currently breakpointed in. When you do that, Eclipse drops the frame, which means it restarts the method from scratch. Invaluable for debugging.

I adjusted. Going from the Nexus One to the Galaxy S II was a big jump and it felt a bit uncomfortable at first, but after a few days, I realized I had adjusted my grip to hold the phone a little bit more on the side (that was totally subco

I can't help but cringe whenever I read Go code because the following: paths, err := filepath.Glob(dir + "/*.png") if err != nil { panic(err) } is repeated over and over again. Didn't we learn in the

We're not discussing Lift nor his design skills. We're talking about his level of expertise in Scala, which is probably one of the highest in the community.

Considering that Android activates 500,000 phones every day, it won't be long before the number of phones running ICS dwarfs any other version.

He's one of the few true Scala experts around (how many can claim they've been using Scala for more than five years?). The code he writes is probably as idiomatic Scala as it can get. Yet another reason why people should be wary.

No, it's not uncommon for startups to let you buy the stock before it even vests. The company will buy it back if you leave before you vest (although you usually don't even bother since they are worth pennies). If the OP left after staying

That's an odd résumé, which doesn't look at all like a software engineer résumé. Is this intentional or is CmdrTaco not an engineer at all? Programming languages? Frameworks? Specifics about the scaling and daily operations of /.? It's also
