Can we please stop using 'vibe coding' to mean 'ai assisted coding'?? (best breakdown, imo: https://simonwillison.net/2025/Mar/19/vibe-coding/ ) Is it really vibe coding if you are bui

Genuinely funny. Had to once interface with a small team from Deloitte on a project, and pushed hard during an early meeting for them to outline the problems and scope. Just complete incompetence... I didn't make anyone cry, but defini

Diversity in evaluation methodology is a reliable way for many subject. Even short, minimal handwritten exams would help to assess student understanding at a few key checkpoints and should should be reintroduced.

Agreed. It’s definitely been fun playing locally, learning, fine tuning, etc, but these models just don’t quite cut it for serious development tasks (yet, and assuming none of the above considerations apply). I haven’t found better than Gem

Surprised not to see Tiny Glade mentioned as a reference game in the comments here… it’s truly the definition of cozy. For anyone not familiar, we really need more games hyper focused on cozy/relaxing: https://store.steampow

Would generally disagree here. Especially when limited to edu emails, it was focused on human connections. Even after it opened to broader audience, it was centered on explicit connections you already had (or to some limited extent discover

100% this. To echo another poster below, it's really important to read the Supreme Court's own words here. >"The Government’s argument, moreover, implies that it could deport and incarcerate any person, including U. S. cit

I don't think it's a matter or liking or not. The use cases just differ considerably, and tools and not as useful or applicable across those. THe OP's use case is probably one of the worst possible for LLMs right now, imo...

I honestly don't understand the path of creating a fully proprietary SaaS these days if you cannot offer a fundamentally unique capability . Speed and scalability are conveniences more than a real business moat, I suspect.

My experience so far on Claude 3.7 has been over-engineered solutions that are brittle. Sometimes they work, but usually not precisely the way I prompted it to, and often attempts to modify them require more refactoring due to the unnecessa

Sadly, Claude 3.7 is still failing pretty hard on Svelte 5 even when provided latest docs in context. It just fails more confidently and further into otherwise decent code than 3.5. Ex: built a much more complex initial app, but used runes

Still, did no one watch the press release video upstream of this post? Either they are posting garbage press releases without really reviewing the content, or (worse) one or multiple people genuinely saw no problem with it.

Reread the blog post, and I suspect Cursor will remain much more competitive on pricing! No specifics, but likely far exceeding typical Cursor costs for a typical developer. Maybe it's worth it, though? Look forward to trying. >Clau
