That's not true; most of them don't represent network interfaces as files for instance. Plan-9 gets closest i think, and it's an outlier

I would argue that in a post-LLM world, becoming as specialized as possible is the only way to survive. If you have the serious systems programming skills required to write graphics drivers, your talent would be wasted writing CRUD apps any

Are you asserting that C++ is not a marketable skill? If anyone reading this has this un-marketable skill, Carnegie robotics in Pittsburgh is hiring carnegie-robotics.breezy.hr/p/2d85f5321cc7-software-engineer

In my perception, VCs don't really care about goals. They care about a convincing argument "if you give me money, I'll give you back more money". Note that it doesn't matter if that statement is true; it only needs

The concept of a mass market device is sort of incompatible with the freedoms we generally associate with linux -- Android is really the closest thing we can hope for. It runs a linux kernel, a very non-standard userspace, and is relatively

If you think an ethics course is about "racism is bad" or "don't be a meanie" then you weren't paying attention. The ethics class i took in college focused on the philosophical models of ethics from Kant and Ar
