FWIW Early AIDS treatments were pretty bleak in terms of success but that didn't stop people from making it better. It seems like ebola treatments have advanced much faster than they did with AIDS so I'll take it as a net win :)

This is awesome that we've seen another horrendous disease go from incurable to curable in my lifetime. While ebola hasn't touched my community like AIDS/HIV has, reading this cracked my RBF and I smiled.

Thanks! I'll take a look, I thought I'd cleaned up most of the errors, whoops!

Hrm, I tested with Firefox and Safari. I don't use Chrome. Looks like there was a deploy error I didn't catch, which is now fixed.

Its not random data, its almost-live attack/scan data. Basically we packet capture everything, process it then shovel it off to our backend datastore. Its a minute or two delayed. I realize it may not be the most interesting thing to l

I'm not sure if its a production quality issue or what but your timing and tone is off. Might wanna re-record this.

Yes, this map is based on the iPew map. The data is sourced from the HashPlane threat intel network. The data to the websocket is almost real time but its sampled so its not a complete threat feed. If you want to use the data please drop me

I had the honor and privilege of working along side the HN team and I think the best description I can put out there is that they're wonderful. HN is a unique place on the internet, I'm hoping it never changes.

Interesting, they're 404'ing. They're going through Cloudflare which pops up a "this is why this site is down" message usually. Maybe they fell victim to some faulty CD?

I agree its gross to run around and yell the N word but there's a saying - "sunlight is the best disinfectant". I'd rather know where the badguys are.

Censorship is disgusting, we should all oppose it. Its literally removing the ability for the populace to educate itself. Journalists blaming cloudflare should be ashamed of themselves, they've just basically called out their lack of i

Yeah, most Wikis make it hard to make private docs then share them easily. Most Wiki's are public or nothing. Sharepoint has the best permissioning but basically requires an admin from user #1...

Depends on what you want to store in it TBH. Most Wiki software has terrible permissioning. I hate Confluence and kinda like Trac/TWiki. MediaWiki is easy but also lame.
