Its ableist to say that someone's choice to exercise free will is somehow coerced or violent because they suffer from depression and/or pain. I certainly don't like suicide but I don't get to make that choice for other p

Hardly. It does almost nothing and this has been studied and has been continually ignored because the hysteria machine needs something to grind against.

Suicide isn't violence and its ableist to claim otherwise, that statistic mangling needs to stop. If you dig in, only 2700 homicides a year (including lawful shootings by LEOs) are comitted with firearms, and its dropping due to means

This blog is somewhat absurd. Yes, the "hit by a meteor" claim is lame but the other side of things is even more terrible. If we're actually worried about the things that are going to be likely to kill us -> Drowning, Cars

A 500 person thats missing what you've posted -> they're in trouble. Even a 50 person company without that is in for a bad time. Do they have good advisors?

I love Kalles! I've eaten it since I was a kid. I make regular trips to IKEA just to buy it, apparently they're one of the US's largest importers of Swedish food. But yes, its very different than what most Americans think of

If you can find cases where its cheap, thats great, but its not the case for a lot of people with static compute load. One of my example datacenters is: Private servers, access controlled, etc 12 servers (E5-2438L, 128GB of ram, 6T of RAID

Maybe its for "Social-Ists"? Like a weird way of saying people who like to be social? And hopefully not the kind of socialism that Russia/DPRC employ, that would be the worst of all worlds.

I was talking about "in a datacenter", but yes, you have almost zero elasticity with datacenter buildouts. You can get metered power but that can be a mixed bag since its usually more expensive per KWH. Most companies that "m

Yeah, I probably should update things but honestly if I'm going to do that I'm just going to write my own poller/scheduler and be done with it. RRD is pretty efficient so I don't have much need to change.
