I think it's one of those things where you need to drink the coolaid. Once you get over the learning hump and fighting against you, you won't want to go back to languages with poorer and less strict type systems. There a lot of va

Are mobile stacks so specialised that it's difficult to switch between them? Out of curiosity, how long would it take a flutter dev to become productive in some other stack?

If this could be simulated, can you help me understand why we couldn't have used simulation to find promising SC materials to investigate further earlier? Are there just too many permutations to investigate? It seems to my own naive se

How many days have scientists been working on this? Like 2, not including the weekend? I'm impressed that results and papers are already starting to come out.

There's betting markets on this, aren't there? The super cynical take is that the original scientists know that it's a fraud but in the lead up to it being proven as fraud can make a lot of money before coming out and saying

This is sad, but the silver lining is that the official app is horrible enough that it will more or less force me to go cold turkey on breaking my Reddit addiction.

Pretty harsh to say that this is a hilarious conclusion when your own conclusion seems even more rash. If your conclusion was the case, wouldn't that mean there'd also have to be people interested in scraping random (static) http

Or build your own proxy that uses whatever private API the official app uses? Seems like the perfect solution if you want to keep using Reddit with your own choice of app.

I think it's primarily because of discovery. Reddit makes it really easy to find communities for your interests and makes it low effort to start engaging with them. I don't need to check 10 different forums, I just load up my Redd

Well, I couldn't disagree more with this. :) Both are wonderful Black comedies, imo. I agree that the story and characters are different (but that's to be expected given they are different movies after all) but the mood is similar
