Pretty much this. I’m building a WYSIWYG note taking app that syncs with GitHub, sort of like Prose.io but more focused on the note taking than CMS part (although the option of publishing notes would combine these two). I think there’s two

Automate all the boring stuff away, like networking and job hunting! \s Sarcasm aside, I wouldn't mind if there were digital cookies or agents which represented us in mundane stuff. Imagine if it knew you so well it could schedule date

You can. Another thing you can do is setup a service worker and intercept requests to Google Fonts, responding with an entry from cache or indexeddb instead.

CPI is computed by the Bureau of Labor Statistics, not the Federal Reserve. As for why labor, housing, and stock prices aren’t included in the CPI, I would guess because: labor is sticky and are only indirectly related to consumption via pr

I sort of feel that way, that recent technological progress for the last 10-20 years has made life significantly more convenient for us as consumers, but not as producers. I’m not going to deny that we have better tools now like GitHub and

What’s an example of a well designed app that’s cross platform and not limited only to iOS? Is there a tradeoff between multiple platforms and attention to detail?

There are other libraries that I've found and used, Yjs [1] for an example because it supports the text editor (ProseMirror) I'm building upon. However, a good version control system for CRDTs, like git for flat text, does not sti

I was recently looking into CRDTs for text-editing, and was surprised to see that Github devs were working on an experimental text editor (Xray) [1] along with a finer-grained version control system for real-time collaborative editing (Memo

Curious to how you've been training with Colab. I tried running 50 epochs on a UNet3D model, each taking about 20 minutes to run; it was a pain in the ass because the session kept disconnecting.

The analogy of tech salaries to returns on bonds only works, as other commentators have pointed out, when talking about programmers who have experience at a Big N company and are being recruited into well funded startups. In this case, it w

According to this StackOverflow post [1], you'll need to write merge driver. I was looking at this when trying to hack git to use conflict-free replicated data types (CRDTs) as a fallback for a specific document type. [1] https:/

OP has to offer a falsifiable hypothesis for any of this to be scientific; one may be to randomly switch Northern and Southern Indians at birth and track their progress through life, but that experiment is morally infeasible.

Even with the trend of personalized search, bookmarking still has a place because it keeps the act of sharing web content social. Right now, there isn’t a way to search through the web pages curated and recommended by a friend or an expert.

The type of serendipity you get from Google versus Bookmarks is not the same. Do you really want a singular company and search engine to determine how you surf the web? That was partially facetious but I do think bookmarking and googling ar
