On what scale do you distill? I don't see mention of it on your gallery page. A few years back I'd looked into importing spirits from central Asia only to conclude that it was much too capital intensive: overland transport, hazard

I was reading this exact passage aloud this very afternoon. It's Borges at his funniest! He's a stand out among the greats, surpassing Joyce, Marquez, Saramago and Solzhenitsyn. There's a pervasive magic to his writing. The p

I'm not sure this analysis is accurate. At any rate, I don't share your concerns. The big problems with phage are: 1) Narrow spectrum 2) Readily cleared by the immune system 3) Bad at killing bacteria in comparison to a

Hypocrisy isn't a partisan issue. Sure, I feel some schadenfreude when the other guy screws up, but it's intellectually dishonest to give someone a free pass because you share their politics. Spitzer was going after human traffick

Meh. I doubt the Tories have a clean house in this regard. Every time some politician or other 'moral leader' starts pontificating about moral panic, I get suspicious that they're just trying to ban their vice. Clearly if the

I disagree with this point. I don't think the laws are there to thwart competition, but to stop manufacturers from exploiting their own dealers. If, for example, a Ford dealer takes on the risk of setting up shop it would be crummy for Ford

I imagine this is going to be dealt with harshly. The government is very protective of tourists. Immediately after the 2011 earthquake, a member of my party was crossing a bridge. This annoyed some soldiers who began pelting him with rocks.

The null hypothesis is never accepted. You can fail to reject the null, but this is entirely different from accepting it. If you claimed to accept the null in an intro statistics class, you'd probably be failed.
