Third comment, but I wanted to share this too: https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=9086475 It was the discussion asking founders what their lifestyle is like. I found it to be a really good glance inside their lives and it

I really liked this comment from graycat, who was advocating for being a solo founder (which is what I'd like to do): https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=8640126

Redundancy for what? Normal helicopters only have a single rotor and are perfectly safe.

The quiet aspect probably has a lot of value in military applications. And it'd be useful in the solar powered unmanned planes we see, but maybe the energy requirements for this are too high.

I moved from a state with no income tax and a sales tax to Oregon. I don't make six figures and I definitely pay more in OR state income tax than I did in sales tax in my previous state.

I think it's a deliberate choice on HN to not have it because it promotes hive-mind behavior/opinions. You can see your own comment's points for kicks though.

You could make that argument about anything. People who use credit cards need to do their research and understand the 200 page card agreement, so we shouldn't punish lenders by having consumer protection laws. Startups are exactly this

I think this is a very bad idea. You're going to have a lot of fraud and people getting taken advantage of. I think the accredited investor guidelines are very practical.

I am surprised there's nothing on the barge to catch it if this happens. The landing struts on the Falcon seem pretty narrow.

>no traces Is a secure platform really worth anything if it's unverifiable as secure? We have no way of knowing there are no traces left.

The issue is that good advice, surrounded by thousands of pages of irrelevant advice, isn't a good source to be relying on.

Worth noting April Houston listings have a false positive because an investor was named Drew Houston.

Thanks for this. I also have this problem but haven't really recognized what the problem was until now, I think. I will have to try this.

Agreed - anyone can make a zipgun with a couple pieces of pipe and a nail from Home Depot, under $10. Just as lethal as any other single-capacity shotgun.

Given github has a desktop interface that is super simple and easy to understand and can be explained in a single sentence, I am not sure there's any reason to not use it.

Do you really have people working 24x7 whose sole jobs are to look at images? Is approved or denied within a few seconds, or are they checking in batches? If I send 1000 images at once, how long would it take to hear back about all of them?
