I would argue that an App Store, on mobile has helped avoid virus, and malware on phones, unlike how Windows was able to contain it. Having a trusted App Store by a company, who understands security, and has a financial backing to commit to

My guess is only the lower end macs will move to ARM till atleast the Apple 14z or most likely Apple A15z. Macbook Pro will be as is for a while. This is about 2 years too far out. Also intel should be supported for a couple of years once

Political ads are explicitly marked, and can be turned off. On the other hand, to classify user generated content as political or not is non-trivial. More so, there is no clear universal definition of this. One man's politics is other

It doesn't "kill the virus". It reduces the half life of the virus, thereby reducing the time it has to spread from surfaces. This means the virus is less transmissible. That alone cannot explain why deaths / infections

I think it is a good idea to containerize all electron apps, and run them only in containers. It is because reducing the surface area of your code to the system will reduce vulnerabilities of your code.
