Yep, it's awful - they really do need to fix that issue on them. I've happily bought every revision of the RPi and use them in a multiple places for different tasks, so it's not like I'm too critical of them. I've h

I know, but I also like pihole and what it offers, plus I can do other things on the RPi.

Because, iirc, USB and networking share the bus - it was impossible for me to create a private WiFi network with an RPi alone. Performance was horrendous.

Get a gl router and put openwrt on it. Much better as a travel device. Add an RPi for pihole. Cracking little kit.

I think I was more disturbed by the news on TV when I was a kid, which was long before even remotely realistic games started appearing. There are so many depictions of violence in everyday life be it video games, the news, movies, music, a

It would be useful if they made it clear to their own readership that they do it, too. Instead it just plays up to a certain readership.

I'm regular reader and I'm not sure that I would agree with you. My problem with the guardian is that it doesn't currently know what it wants be. The other annoyance - the frivolous clickbait articles. They have articles on

Yep, these are the ones we get. I detest the way in which they say "hello" and leave a pause, expecting you to say something back. At first it made me feel silly for having been tricked into a natural response. Now, we just don&#x

Naw, they never died out at all. We used to get bombarded with international calls prior to blocking international calls. Now, they just spoof them from an adjacent city - we've had them purportedly from Liverpool and Bristol. Bizarre,

Part of what you're talking about is what bugs me about Amazon and the publishers. When I buy an audio CD, I can have it "auto-ripped" and available to download immediately as an MP3. I wish the same applied for more expens

True, before MP3, we used to borrow CDs from the library and copy them to tape, too. Libraries were brilliant as an impoverished student :)

YouTube maybe, but movies? I could think of nothing worse. The score for a movie is just as important to me as the visuals.

I tend to read around a number of respected sources and magazines. It's a source of fun for friends and family, but I'm far too cynical with one review or source of reviews.

The chap on BBC radio yesterday said that he deliberately gave lower marks (4 star) than 5 because of exactly that - it looked too obvious. He also said that some of the products that he was paid to review he didn't even use (hemorrhoi

Yeah, the 3 mentioned are listed in the link in the article. Agree about Little Computer People. As a speccy owner, I can vaguely remember being envious at the time!

It's also commonly laughed at in the UK. We typically see it as an Americanism that is a sort-of catch-all for different genres of electronic music. When Aphex first came out it was under the genre/banner of "Braindance"

To be honest, I think he is more of a musician’s musician and a bit hard to “get” ? Not in the UK - I would say Selected Ambient Works vol 1 is one of the best records of the '90s. Still stands up very well today.

I was wracking my brain trying to think of early '80s job-simulator games, mostly because there aren't many at all. I'm not sure that I'd class Trashman, Paperboy or Tapper (fond of all 3 btw) as job-simulators. Other

2011 MBA here. Waiting to buy a new MBP,... but not on your nelly with that keyboard, touchbar, and lack of ram on the smaller model. Also budgeted for one. I've also become very cautious over Apple, which is a shame.
