Damn, and this was going to be my first project of 2021. Kudos on launching, I still think I'm going to keep plugging away on my own version. It is 2021 though, and there really is no excuse for not using TLS.

I really hope this is just a temporary issue and no accounts are going to be lost. If that happens, way too many people are going to feel the pain of thinking Google makes backups unnecessary - including me.

Isn't this just partially fixed? I believe google.com cookies are still exempt in the current latest release.

Most Indian food is not vegan. We use a lot of dairy products in our cooking. The vegetarian stuff is still awesome though.

The last time I looked into this (about 3 years ago), it was ridiculously difficult to embed Gecko into anything, almost to the point of being impossible. Chromium in comparison is relatively easy to embed (via CEF or LibChromiumContent).

As someone who can't be bothered to fix such stuff in documentation, I would like to wholeheartedly thank you for doing this. Please do not get discouraged by the fallout from the Hacktoberfest mess, people everywhere seem to be short

Creating ever increasing ids reliably at scale is not trivial. You will probably end up having a single server generating these ids which will then become a single point of failure.

Try using your setup to access a blocked website on a Jio connection. You'll find why greentunnel is required :)

Greentunnel is not just a DoH client. Greentunnel also breaks up your packets in such a manner that prevents SNI sniffing, which is what makes it able to prevent blocking by Jio.

Well here's the thing - developers have a finite amount of time on which they can work on something. Instead of spending that finite amount of time trying to create great software causing the release to be delayed, you could focus on

Actually this is not just a Windows issue, it's also something that impacts Mac OS. There have been instances where the native webview on MacOS had bugs that were not resolved until the next major release of OSX. (Can't seem to fi

Dude this is fantastic. Also you really need to charge more. Start by doubling the prices for all the plans. It's easily worth it and people will pay.

The problem is not really a technical issue. It might be expensive, but it's not rocket science to create a Youtube competitor. The problem is that in order to build a 'viable' Youtube competitor, you need to get content crea

It seems Facebook mandates the use of the SDK if apps wish to provide 'Login with Facebook' functionality. My question is this - Why would any company include this SDK, which is basically spyware into their apps, simply in order t

Pretty much. In addition there is no real enforcement to see that only the sites requested are blocked. And ISPs (Jio especially) have started taking creative license with block orders. For a lot of ISPs this blocking is implemented at DNS

This is an apples to oranges comparison. DNS requests exfiltrate data such as IP and the domain you want to visit. Currently extensions can literally upload all your passwords if they wish to. Restricting them to be able to only GET whiteli

Yes, I think I'd probably settle for solution number 2. I still don't understand how this is better than NPM, and how Deno solves the horrible dependency management of Node, but maybe if I actually build something with Deno I'

Word of warning though - ts-node can be excruciatingly slow. We recently switched a project from using ts-node in our dev environment to compiling with tsc and running with node, and shaved around 5 minutes from our startup time.
