Correct. Example: this user logged into my service. Let's try to log into gmail with the same password. It worked. I'm authenticated, but not authorized.

What are you talking about? Apple has been doing exactly that since the iPhone 3GS pretty successfully.

Yes it is. From what I understand, a network will license a show to another network in another country, probably in an exclusive way. So they can't just "oh yeah you're paying us millions to distribute in your country? Let me

Have you seen what kind of software Rogue Amoeba produces? They can barely make it work without kernel extensions, let alone browser APIs that would take years to develop and mature.

Why would Apple give up their 30% margins? It makes no sense. Not until they're somehow forced into it, anyway.

Easy. A normal customer would download the first result and just deal with it. Most people can't really tell a quality app from something made in a batch — or they don't mind using a just-ok app.

I've seen a site do it, I don't remember which one. The issue here is that password UX is simply not taken seriously. If it was, password criteria wouldn't be so "stupid" in the first place. http://passwo

If Safari starts supporting WebExtensions we're halfway there, but I don't see them switching from their current model anytime soon — sadly for its users.

That doesn't really matter, they pushed CSS Transforms, Transitions and Animations long before they were "standards", hence the slew of prefixed properties still enabled on many browsers. It's more about politics and pri

If there's one thing you should not be doing with media queries is this. You never need to target one device. Your media queries should follow the content, not playing cat and mouse with devices.

Been traveling for 18 months. Doesn't make a whole lot of a difference, especially when you go to poorer areas and see even worse conditions than what the post describes.

You know what makes his whole argument BS? Exactly the "nudge" he's talking about. If Apple was really pushing for "a better technology" then they should have just included the airpods. What they've done instea

This is my first article, it's about something that has bothered me in the last few months: Transitions. It's easy to add them and as easy to forget to remove them where they are not needed. Feel free to comment on it or call BS.
