It's pretty amazing to find out that you can actually improve your knees (and feet, ankles, hips, shoulders..) so they don't hurt and generally suck, even if you're not 20. +1 for the knees over toes guy programs

For those who use a VPN - why do you do it? Region-locked content, untrusted networks? They're pitched as a privacy thing, but privacy from who?

Same for me. Now my resume is in a google doc and still looks great. Latex just wasn't worth the time spent tinkering, and I'm not convinced better typesetting helps developers get jobs.

I find it very interesting that they link to the trello board for the project on the main site. I don't think I've seen that before.

Does anyone else have a long list of dense material like this that you have an intention of going through someday? Do you ever end up actually doing it?

Amazing list, and one of the best things I've found on HN. I'll add my own bit of advice, for fun: The party is over the instant one person asks for the wifi password

One small thing that has really helped me mitigate the downsides of screen time is keeping my phone out of my bedroom. It charges at my desk. No more laying in bed scrolling before or after I wake up. I sleep better and feel better.

There's a nice command line tool for keeping a journal that some people might find useful. https://jrnl.sh/ You just type in jrnl followed by your entry, that's it.
