I'm pretty sure they used a Monoprice Mini Delta[1], which is one of the cheapest fully assembled 3D printers available (about $160), so it's not even that bad without a printer. [1]: https://www.mpminidelta.com

Definitely very terse, but I'd call this idiomatic awk.

I'd like to point out that in German, "der Hunden" doesn't exist.

There is a very useful readline option to help with this: set completion-prefix-display-length 2 in ~/.inputrc replaces any common prefix longer than two characters with an ellipsis.

Amazon kind of audits and reviews products, or at least has an official program for sellers to solicit user reviews: it's called Amazon Vine [0]. For the reviewers (the "Vine Voices"), it looks like this: on a regular basis

That page doesn't show up in preview for me, but I'm guessing it's the diagram showing the origin of Go as a blend of Alef, Oberon and C. The authors also say that the package concept was inspired by Modula-2, the syntax for

"xform" I've seen elsewhere, like in GNU tar's --xform option to transform filenames. It does accept --transform as well, though, and I agree that "xfrm" doesn't readily map to "transform" for me

Two small, but neat changes I'll incorporate into my daily usage: "git blame" now has an option "--color-by-age" that paints lines by age of last change. There is also a small change to a Perl script that improves d

A very boring, but instructive way is to read manuals cover to cover - for example the GNU Coreutils one [0]. This way, you become aware of the existence of a lot of tools (such as comm, which is part of the coreutils), and while reading yo

I think it's a great introduction to Programming, but if you already know some other language, it tends to be verbose - but Stroustrup always tends to be verbose. I, for one, really like his style.
