Isn't the eMMC card basically an "SD" card as a chip? Thus this machine should having the same problems with unreliable shutdown and wear-leveling as the normal Pi, with the added culprit that you cannot swap the card for a n

It's so sad that the country where Richard lived, worked and paid taxes for about 30 years can't provide for him. I'm glad to be able to help. But what happens to those that don't reach the front page of HN? No one endur

I have no faith in the Bletchley Park Trust and their grand vision of "a world class museum and heritage site". They simply have to accommodate the volunteers at the The National Museum of Computing. This is the same kind of banta

The power/performance envelope is about the same for both processors (Haswell version of the Xeon (E3-1230v3) and i3-4130T) . So you are trading performance for power in a full load scenario, the idle power usage is going to be similar

While you might be right about the small space advantage, I would feel more safe if the position of the failing drive (and the next failing drive) does not matter at all. If a drive develops a speed problem, I'll replace it.

I would love for the code to be released, something similar and selfhosted with a simple static backend (or my favorite: Kirby) would live on any low end box. Please consider selling the design and assets on Themeforest.

Well, in this particular case I agree. Its unlikley that you will make your own ARM SOC or blobs because the Snapdragon blobs are unavalible to you. But one can see the secrets as an anti-feature and choose an alternative supplier that is l
