It's only a violation in so far as its less of a violation to a persons free speech than blocking the whole service. Users can be creative with what they want to express with this approach - with no Twitter at all, where is the wiggle room?

I;ve tried, with some success. This kinda makes my point though, using shady means to download content because I am of one nationality and living abroad - not exactly an edge case.

Exactly this - the UK banks tried to move closer to their US cousins a number of times, but each time consumers managed to stop a lot of these charges becoming commonplace, particularly with regard to charges or ATM fees. If you want a real

This is a massive sticking point for me as an Englishman living in Japan. The huge delay in getting films and, especially, TV over here coupled with the IP address and other restrictions in place by certain providers is a huge encouragement

The website is nice with one small but massively important exception. The line height of the text is far too small, it should be around 1.5 times the font size at that size.

This article makes me very angry because the guy is coming across as looking for an excuse not to do the work. When I was building websites for IE 5 + 6 there was very little help out there - the bugs weren't documented and often you would

I scored far lower than I thought I would, and am genuinely surprised given that I tend to write a lot and have always thought I had a decent vocabulary. I would love to be able to compare my score to what it would have been before moving t

I don't think I mentioned office politics once in my response. If you regard all communication in your office as 'office politics' you are probably going about things in a less than optimal way. A 'good developer' is someone who can speak t

I think you're showing a fundamental misunderstanding of what working within a team means. Full time experience interacting with other people and with stakeholders of the product you are creating is something you're friend won't have, regar

A few things regarding the pricing page - firstly, the text underneath the 'Quota' box makes little to no sense to a native English speaker. I cant even offer a translation myself, whcih I would be happy to do, since I don;t understand what

This map might make it easier to see how the tube reflects the geography, and so conjure a better image of London, but it makes using the tube system much harder. As case in point, the fork in the Northern line at Kennington is much harder

Kudos for making a sensible decision. It's much better idea to force your users to go through the pain of upgrading once rather than hitting them again with a MySQL upgrade in a version's time. Genuinely glad to hear that WP has this foresi

It was changed because all the idiots who couldn't read the words "to the extent we think it necessary for the Service" were throwing a hissy fit. I'm guessing you were in that group and needed the clarification.

I can't down vote this but I really wish I could. As someone else pointed out this comment seems driven by malice more than anything else... "Let me tell you what a UX developer is. UX developers are people that couldn't find themselves nei

Whats worrying about the apparent proliferation of security breaches like this is that as the attacks get more sophisticated, so do the prevention methods. This could get to the point whereby the skill level required to protect an applicati

I've come from PHP, (specifically CodeIgniter) to learning Rails in the last month, and so have focused on learning from the great online Tutorial by Michael Hartl and the rails edgeguides. All are up to 3.0, but I've managed to work fine w
