It probably functions as a fire alarm and PA so having the ability to control the content is important. The hotel already has radio - Wifi.

NotJustBikes is very good at articulating the problem with suburban car culture. I knew it was that guy before I even clicked it and many of us have already watched it so unfortunately it's choir preaching on HN. I hope town planners a

How does it handle spam filtering? Surely the big mail providers have a network effect going on when one person marks an email as spam it's applied to similar emails.

Interesting table - very easy to see which fats are the worst. It's a pity they don't include animal fat in there but I guess it's all from an Indian context. Coconut seems like a good option but it can still go rancid if you

The extraction process turns the oil rancid but it's supposedly okay because there is a process to remove the bad odor. The main concern is that when heated polyunsaturated fats convert to transfats which are bad; the article claims it

The fruit trees in the red zone are a bit run down in my experience. Fruit trees need a lot of care to do well: pruning, fungicide, pesticide, bird netting, irrigation etc. It's interesting to see which varieties thrive on their own. P

I agree. SO is great because it doesn't try to please everyone. It's for professionals not to build your whole app for you. There seems to have been a swell in beginners learning to code perhaps due to economic motivations rather

I switched to REST-Client for VS Code many years ago when Postman wanted me to sign in. I knew that was the beginning of the end for Postman. It uses these amazing things called files. With files you can commit them to a repository of other

I really want a label that says this product is safe and free of all the bad things like forever chemicals and phthalates. Think vegan or halal. Unfortunately the plastics industry loves to pedal the BPA-free meme while they are free two sw

Probably companies like Bayer and Yara. I'm aware that chemicals like glyphosate are detrimental to fungi and soil bacteria. But I don't think regenerative farming with no mineral inputs is sustainable either. As this story shows
