I would guess the only ones who do not feel it is their purpose are those for whom it happened accidentally. Anyone who chose to have kids most likely did so with purposeful intent.

It's called "community" and our generation has no idea what that word means or why there is value to it.

In the diagram/text description it is specifically referring to replication, in the sense of transmitting genetic information to daughter cells. In that sense there is no protein-protein transfer; no means of copying one protein or reb

Profit is an easy answer but sometimes easy is correct. Companies are prone to view consumer opinion negatively if they know they don't have a choice. Look at Apple, for example--the removal of the headphone jack, the constant reductio

Kind of relevant to this, there is literature to support the notion that the 'personality' of internal voices is shaped by society -- people experiencing it in Western nations tend to have voices be very negative and violent, wher

Even things that are chemically inert can cause problems in our bodies. Silica is similarly chemically inert, but silicosis is a devastating disease.

Yes, exactly right. And there are many students less likely than that to zone out, and many more likely to zone out. But if you give them a tool to aid in being distracted, it will encourage all of them to not pay attention. It really is

My 2019 Toyota has terrible UX. The higher end cars, particularly newer ones, are a little better (comparing Camry vs Corolla e.g.) but overall pretty bad. Would love to hear people's opinions on car UX though. The Tesla is terrible to

I think this is genuinely true. The internet today appeals to the lowest common denominator, in the same way that blockbuster movies often do. It is less appealing because it is less specific to our tastes.

My breakfast is a cup of coffee and toast usually but since I live a 25 min bike ride from my work (in New England USA) I can usually leave around 800, which means I can sleep at 2300 for 8 hours easily. Now, does my body do that?... no,

Gender is being used here as "trait arising from genetic sex + behavior". It's not the same as the human social construct, but it is analogous. It's also not commonly used in biology in this way from what I've seen,
